Kiwanis Foundation of Montana At the Kiwanis Foundation of Montana, our mission is to foster a brighter future by investing in children, empowering communities, and supporting Service Leadership Programs. We strive to change the world one child and one community at a time through our dedicated efforts in grants, scholarships, and youth programs. Scholarships Thanks to generous donors and annual club gifts, the Kiwanis Foundation of Montana provides more than $24,000 each year in scholarships to to support youth and young adults in Kiwanis Service Leadership Programs. Montana Circle K - Key Club Renewal Scholarship Program The Montana Circle K - Key Club Renewal Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kiwanis Foundation of Montana, is designed to provide recognition and financial assistance to Circle K members who have previously received a Kiwanis Foundation of Montana Circle K or Key Club Scholarship, and have continued to excel in their collegiate careers. It is designed for those who have achieved academic excellence, demonstrated leadership abilities, and provided service to others.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Be a member of a Circle K Club within the Montana District, and be in good standing with the home club, Montana District, and Circle K International. If a Circle K is not chartered in your school, participating in a local Kiwanis Club will be accepted. If a Circle K Club or a Kiwanis Club are not available in your school’s community, documentation of community service verified by a college counselor is acceptable.Have full-time student status during the current administrative year and be in good standing with their college or university.Contribute a minimum of 40 hours of Circle K or Kiwanis community service in the past year. Community service means uncompensated hands-on service for others. Examples include: Helping at homeless shelters or children’s foster care homes Group activities such as cleaning parks or public playgrounds, spring cleaning for elderlyAdvocacy for suicide preventionFundraising for service projectsAssisting Kiwanis clubs with their service or fundraising projectsExamples of activities that are not community service includeAttendance at meetings or committee meetingsPolitical or professional advocacyCompensated activities (cash, reduced fees, college credit)If a student misses a year of qualification due to an unexpected situation, a renewal application for the following year(s) may be submitted and will be reviewed by the foundation board for determination of award.

Ineligibility

Fifth year students or Masters Degree do not qualify for a renewal scholarship.
