Note: The Grant Application is due three months prior to the start date of the program and grant recipients will be determined in a month-long process. Submissions will be accepted at two different deadlines throughout the year: April 1 for April committee approval, October 1 for November committee approval. About Minnesota Section PGA The mission of the Minnesota PGA is to promote the enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf and to contribute to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry. The Minnesota PGA will accomplish this mission by enhancing the skills of its professionals and the opportunities for amateurs, employers, manufacturers, employees, and the public. In so doing, the Minnesota PGA will elevate the standards of the golf professional’s vocation, enhance the economic well-being of the individual member, stimulate interest in the game of golf, and promote the overall vitality of the game. The Minnesota PGA geographic region includes the entire states of Minnesota and North Dakota; South Dakota (fewer areas surrounding cities of Rapid City, Vermillion, and Yankton); and a portion of Western Wisconsin that includes St. Croix County and Superior, Wisconsin. Minnesota Golf License Plate Grant The Minnesota Golf License Plate was introduced to help enhance and grow the game of golf in the State of Minnesota. The focus of the grants are to enhance the golf experience in the areas of youth, military, and inclusion in Minnesota. To qualify for a grant, your program must fit into one or more of those categories. Eligible Programs Existing, Traditional Junior Golf ProgramsMunicipal ProgramsNewly Created Junior Golf ProgramsLocal Support: School Systems and School ProgramsConnection with Local Junior Golf ProgramsCurriculum and Frequency of ParticipationOther Eligible Programs The MGLP Committee prefers programs that include a balance of four primary areas of emphasis: Instruction Practice Playing Life Skills

Requests for endowments or multi-year grants will not be accepted.The MGLP grant program should not be used as a substitute for local tax revenue
