PURPOSE The Purpose of the MCCF is to foster patriotism and the integration of the military and civilian communities of the San Antonio, TX area, to provide scholarships for children of active or retired military personnel, to support organizations that assist military personnel and their families, to support the Military Ambassador Program, and to raise the positive profile of military service in Texas. VISION To be a primary resource through which donors support the San Antonio area Military Community. MISSION To enhance the military’s integration into the greater San Antonio Community; provide college scholarships for military children; support organizations that assist military members, veterans, and their families; and to recognize and celebrate military service through our Military Ambassador Program. Military-Civilian Charitable Foundation Scholarship The Trinity Endowment was established in 1954 with a $500 check from the Military-Civilian Club (MCC). Since its inception, funds for the Trinity University endowment scholarship have been added almost annually and continue to be secured in a separate endowment account known as the Military-Civilian Club Scholarship Fund. Trinity University manages and provides assistance to children of military families in good academic standing and demonstrated financial need as determined by the University. The amount awarded each year is determined by the University. The Military-Civilian Club (MCC) and the Military-Civilian Charitable Foundation (MCCF) have been awarding scholarships to high school seniors since the mid 1970’s. The scholarships are open to children of military personnel in all six Services: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force and Space Force who live in the San Antonio area. The MCCF’s goal is to fund at least four higher education scholarships. The MCCF understands the unique challenges military families face with frequent separations and relocations. We recognize the importance of education and are committed to helping the military child in their pursuit of a higher education.Eligibility
