Microgrants From Brooklyn Org Grant

Brooklyn Org is now accepting applications for microgrants to support community-based organizations with budgets under $100,000. These grants aim to empower groups working towards racial justice and provide vital resources to historically marginalized communities. Organizations can apply year-round for funding up to $10,000 for general operating support. This initiative reflects Brooklyn Org's commitment to fostering local philanthropy and strengthening the nonprofit sector in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Org is a champion for Brooklyn. Over our 15 year history, we have moved $130 million to nonprofits in partnership with generous Brooklynites, through our community-powered grantmaking and Donor Advised Funds.
To strengthen the nonprofit sector of Brooklyn and support organizations at various stages of growth, Brooklyn Org is now accepting applications for microgrants. This funding will support organizations not yet eligible for our Strategic Grants or other prizes due to budget requirements; microgrants will support community-based organizations with budgets of under $100,000.
Community and neighborhood-based groups can now apply anytime of the year for general operating support microgrant funding of up to $10,000 for one year. We support organizations that advance racial justice and provide critical resources to BIPOC and other groups that have been historically disempowered and discriminated against across Brooklyn.

Eligibility

Organizations must be based in Brooklyn or actively working in Brooklyn.
Organizations must have an annual budget in the last fiscal year under $100,000.
Under $100,000 in expenses in the last year.
Organizations must be a 501c3 or operating under the auspices of a 501c3 fiscal sponsor.
Organizations must have at least one year of operations and programming.

Ineligibility

Individuals.
Projects of a larger organization whose budget is over $100,000.
Capital campaigns.

Brooklyn-based or Brooklyn-active groups that are 501(c)(3) or fiscally sponsored, with an annual budget under $100,000 in the last fiscal year and at least one year of operations; one application per review period.
