Grantmaking Goal

Keep lower-income older adults housed and create more affordable housing options for older adults by supporting strategies for protecting, preserving, and producing housing.

Funding Focus Areas

Strategies for older adults experiencing homelessness:

  • Programs utilizing a "housing first" approach

  • Helping older adults experiencing homelessness exit streets rapidly and move into sustainable housing

  • Broad efforts to increase services in and supply of permanent supportive housing
  • Strategies for older adult, lower-income renters:

  • Helping older adult renters stay in their housing and communities

  • Emphasis on those with moderate and severe housing cost burdens (>30% and >50% of monthly income toward housing)

  • Broad efforts to increase supply of affordable senior housing
  • Strategies for older adult, lower-income homeowners:

  • Community programs allowing older adults to age in place while maximizing quality of life

  • Fostering social connection and intergenerational interdependence
