Note: Grant requests are reviewed on a rolling basis, typically three times per year. All materials must be submitted prior to the deadline for consideration. The mission of the Melrose Cooperative Bank Foundation is to provide financial support to charitable and community service organizations in our community. The Foundation is dedicated completely to community activities and the promotion of charitable causes. Areas of Giving Education and Youth Programs: Initiatives at the primary, secondary and post secondary school age levels that raise the aspirations of students in the community, enhance initiatives that support the education process, and support programs that assist in improving the quality of life for children in the community that foster education, learning and leadership in and out of a formal school setting, such as after-school programs and daycare. Health and Human Services: Programs that are essential to the health, social wellness, and overall well-being of the community, as well as initiatives that focus on physical and mental wellness. General Community: Organizations that support and promote the social, cultural or economic well-being of the local community. This would include efforts to support organizations dedicated to art, history, homelessness, disabilities, abuse, training and food pantries. Affordable Housing: Programs that assist with creating, preserving, and improving low- to moderate-income housing in the community.

Awards are generally limited to use in Melrose and surrounding communities. The grants awarded typically range from $250 – $10,000, however larger grants may be considered.If your grant has been denied due to missing information, applicants are welcome to reapply during the next funding cycle. Applicants who were denied due to community or project relevance are also welcome to reapply if the reason for denial as been addressed.

Ineligibility

The Foundation does not provide financial support for political organizations or candidates, activities for religious purposes, contributions to individual endeavors or scholarships.
