Medical Society of the State of New York/Dr. Duane and Joyce Cady Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship Grant

The AMA Foundation's Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship provides $10,000 in tuition assistance to medical students nearing their final year. With a strong commitment to supporting diverse medical students, the Foundation has awarded over $61 million in scholarships since 1950. Eligible applicants must attend a medical school in New York and demonstrate involvement in organized medicine. This scholarship focuses on promoting equity in healthcare by assisting those underrepresented in the medical field.

Our Physicians of Tomorrow scholarship program distributes $10,000 in tuition assistance scholarships to medical students approaching their final year of school. Since 1950, we have awarded more than $61 million in scholarships. With more than 17 scholarship categories and a variety of focus areas, including serving those underrepresented in medicine, the AMA Foundation works to recognize a diverse cohort of medical students each year.

Eligibility

Applicants must currently attend a medical school in the State of New York.All students may apply for the Physicians of Tomorrow scholarships, regardless of AMA membership status.Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. allopathic or osteopathic medical school.Applicants must be entering their final year of medical school.Applicants must be permanent residents or citizens of the United States or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) status.The AMA Foundation requires that all scholarship funds be used for medical school tuition costs only with no stipulations on the semester funds are applied toward.
