The Matthew Ryan Powers ‘March on for Matt’ Memorial Scholarship, established by the Powers family, honors a beloved member of the Lakewood Ranch community. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Lakewood Ranch High School who have been active in the school's bands and demonstrate financial need, aiming to foster music education and community engagement. Eligible students must maintain a GPA of 3.2 and submit an essay on the importance of music.

Be a graduating senior or graduate of Lakewood Ranch High School in Manatee County FloridaBe/have been active in the Bands of Lakewood Ranch at Lakewood Ranch High SchoolBe a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal ResidentBe accepted into an accredited 2- or 4-year educational institutionDemonstrate clear financial needHave a minimum GPA of 3.2Submit a personal essay to include “why music is important.”
