Overview: The Mary Atmar Johnson Scholarship was established to honor Mary Atmar Johnson, one of the community volunteers who helped establish Tidelands Community Hospice in 1985 as one of the first not-for-profit hospices in South Carolina. The scholarship perpetuates the cycle of caring and commitment to those served by the organization.

Number of scholarships: Five (5) scholarships awarded annually

Award amount: $1,000 per scholarship

Eligibility:

Students pursuing a degree in nursing or social work

Recipients are students who are or will be pursuing these careers
