Focus Areas Education The Mary A. Crocker Trust believes that education can open the doors of opportunity. To that end, the Trust supports a variety of programs, both in and out of schools, that encourage academic excellence and nurture a passion for lifelong learning. The Trust will consider requests from pre-collegiate programs only and is interested in innovative approaches to the challenges of educating young people in the Bay Area. Environment The Trust seeks to fund locally based, creative and practical educational and advocacy projects that have the potential to positively impact the Bay Area environment. Areas of particular interest include waste management, recycling, water quality, land use management and sustainable agriculture and forestry. Environmental Education As a logical extension of the Trust’s interest in Education and the Environment, we also accept inquiries from organizations working to enlighten Bay Area children and adults about the natural wonders in this area and the importance of protecting and caring for them.Eligibility

The Trust accepts inquiries from charitable organizations (those with 501(c)(3) registration or those affiliated with a certified fiscal sponsor) based in the nine Bay Area counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma).An organization may be funded up to two times in a three-year period, but after that, they are asked to refrain from applying for a three-year period.Ineligibility
