Overview

Community Grants

MCF Community Grants are evaluated based on their alignment with the mission of the MCF and awarded annually by November 1st. Grants are awarded in four focus areas: Education, Youth Development, Human Services, Recreation and Environment. In 2024, more than 50 local organizations (pictured above on the MCF Day of Giving) received a total of $1.2 million in MCF community grants.

Four Focus Areas

Grants are awarded to programs that have a significant impact on the greater Truckee community in four focus areas:

Education - The MCF supports educational institutions that promote learning and intellectual development, and that make education more accessible and effective for all students.
Youth Development - Organizations providing services and opportunities that enable young people to develop to their full potential are supported by the MCF.
We support organizations that help people lead safe, healthy and productive lives.
Recreation - The MCF recognizes that recreational opportunities are important to all and supports organizations that improve the number and quality of recreational options in the area.
