Overview

Mission The Marion Gardner Jackson Charitable Trust was established by Marion Gardner Jackson, the granddaughter of local industrialist, Robert W. Gardner, founder of the Gardner-Denver Company. Before her death in 1976, Mrs. Jackson set up a perpetual trust to aid religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational organizations. Preference is given to organizations in Quincy, Illinois and surrounding communities in Adams County. Capital Grants. Applicants may apply for a grant of up to $50,000 to support capital projects. The project must support the mission of the organization and/or the stated outcome of a program or project. Program/Operating Support Grants. Applicants with organizational budgets of $10 million or less may apply for grants of $10,000 up to $50,000 for operating or program support. For program support grants, the yearly request may not be more than 30% of the program’s budget.
