A single-session giving circle that brought together teens and their mothers to make grants to Israeli shared society organizations operating post-October 7.

History:

Organized in March 2024

Hosted by Lynn Brinton and her daughter Willa Cohen

Attended by 10 sets of teens and their mothers

One-time/pop-up event (single session)

Purpose:

Create uplifting opportunity for families to learn about young Israeli Jews and Arabs and their families

Support young Israelis working toward a better future through shared society initiatives

2024 Grantmaking:

Two organizations selected to receive grants

Award amount: $6,125 each per organization

Grantees:

- Hand-in-Hand (longtime grantee of Federation and Federation donor-advised funds)
- PeacePlayers Middle East (longtime grantee of Federation and Federation donor-advised funds)
