Maria Concillo Memorial Scholarship Fund
Overview: A scholarship fund established by Local Union 926 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters to award scholarships to dependent children of eligible union members.
Award Details:
Geographic Scope: United States (institutions only)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a full active member paying full dues (excludes NYC employees, retirees, early retirees, honorary members, and disabled members)
- Must be in good standing with both Local Union 926 and NYC District Council for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding application submission
- Must have been a member of Local 926 for 36 consecutive months immediately preceding application submission
- Deceased members' children are eligible if member met requirements at time of death and child was at least 12 years old
- Must be a high school senior graduating in June from a public, private, or parochial school
- Must maintain a C (2.0) or better grade point average throughout entire senior year of high school
- Must be planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college/university, nursing school, or technical school in the United States
- Must be planning to attend on a full-time basis directly from high school
- Must have been or be subsequently admitted to the institution

Application Process
Step 1: Request Application (After February 11th)

- Name and address of the applicant
- Applicant's relationship to the member
Step 2: Union Verification
Step 3: Complete and Submit Application
Required Materials (must be received between February 11 - April 3):
1. Completed Application Form - to be completed by applicant with membership verification portion completed by Local Union 926
2. Proof of Relationship - such as birth certificate or adoption papers
3. Official School Transcript - to be submitted with online application by school official
4. Proof of College Registration/Enrollment - verification of admission to a 2 or 4-year college/university or other qualifying school
