Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career Grant program

The Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career Grant program, part of Governor Wolf’s Jobs that Pay Initiative, aims to bolster Pennsylvania's manufacturing sector by funding projects that enhance workforce readiness and entry-level job placements. This initiative focuses on engaging youths and individuals facing barriers, ensuring they are aware of career opportunities in manufacturing. Funds can be allocated for various purposes, including training services, equipment purchases, and program development, thereby supporting local manufacturers and fostering community growth.

NOTE: Applications will be accepted and evaluated on an ongoing basis with awards to be made to eligible applicants for as long as funds are available.
Training-to-Career Grants support projects that result in short-term work-readiness training, entry-level job placement, or the advancement of the manufacturing industry.
The Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career Grant program will not duplicate existing programs such as WEDNet and Next Generation Industry Partnerships but is designed to help companies identify and train a skilled workforce for existing or near future open positions, engage youth or those with barriers in awareness building activities of career opportunities in manufacturing, and or advance capacity for local or regional manufacturers
The grant funds may be used for professional services/consultants, internships, equipment purchase, shop modifications, program development, marketing, domestic travel, and salaries and fringes.
