NOTE: Individual Provider Grants can be requested anytime but should be submitted at least 30-60 days in advance of the medical mission to be processed in a timely manner. About Us How We Got Started The Making a Difference Foundation was born out of the compassion and generosity of the employees at CHG Healthcare. Each year, these incredible individuals give of their time, resources, and money to help make their communities a better place. In December 2016, the executive team of CHG Healthcare established the Foundation with the belief that every person can create a ripple effect of positive change in the world. Our Mission The Foundation exists to ignite and support the volunteer passions of CHG employees and medical providers in their communities and around the world. They also provide financial support to nonprofit organizations delivering humanitarian relief in times of natural disasters, conflicts, and other hardships. Individual Provider Grants The Making a Difference Foundation supports healthcare providers who want to join medical mission trips and help communities around the world. Since these trips can be expensive, the Individual Provider Grants offer financial support of up to $2,000 to providers interested in participating in trips with nonprofit organizations. The Foundation recognizes the importance of expanding healthcare access to underserved populations and is committed to helping those who are eager to make a difference.

Eligibility

The Charity must be well-established for 2+ years, reputable, and qualified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.The medical provider requesting the grant must have a valid U.S. license to practice their specialty The medical provider requesting the grant must express that the cost of the mission is prohibiting them from participating in a medical mission.Medical mission trips can have a diverse purpose including, but not limited to direct healthcare, dental or eye care, vaccinations, healthcare education, or delivery of medical supplies and/or medications.We support and encourage trips with cultural experiences or a focus on humanitarian aid; however, 80% of your time on the mission must be spent focused on healthcare education or healthcare delivery to be eligible.We support missions from all types of organizations; however, the sole purpose of the trip must be secular and not to proselytize for any one religious or political cause.Upon returning from the trip, all providers are required to complete a post-trip survey. Content from this survey may be used in marketing materials from the foundation.All providers must be willing to sign the Making a Difference Foundation liability waiver
