Luzerne Foundation: Millennium Circle Fund Grant

The Millennium Circle Fund, established by donors at The Luzerne Foundation, aims to identify and address unmet community needs in Luzerne County through grants. With a goal of 2,000 members, the fund has awarded over $464,000 to local nonprofits. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations nominated by a member. The grant cycle includes an online application and a presentation at the Grant Forum, where selected nonprofits showcase their community-enhancing projects.

The Millennium Circle Fund of The Luzerne Foundation was created by a special group of donors whose one-time gifts of $2,000 play a pivotal role in helping The Luzerne Foundation identify unmet community needs. The ultimate goal is to have 2,000 members and a fund that would support the community with grants of $200,000 or more each year.
Over the past decade, the Millennium Circle Fund has awarded over $464,000 to nonprofit organizations throughout Luzerne County. The grant cycle begins with an online application, followed by the selection of four qualified nonprofits to present at the Millennium Circle Grant Forum in early November. Each nonprofit will have 5-10 minutes to clearly and concisely describe its background and mission, and how it is addressing the unmet need in the community.
Each member of The Millennium Circle is encouraged to be the eyes and ears of the Fund, recommend areas of need and vote on grants. A Millennium Circle donor can be an individual, a family, a business or a civic group.

Eligibility

Applications cannot be officially submitted without a nomination from a Millennium Circle member.Must be 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing that serves residents of Luzerne County!
Projects or programs must benefit and enhance the well-being of the community.
