NOTE: This unsolicited request is for first-time applicants. Luther I. Replogle Foundation Grant Mission We are a family foundation with an office outside Washington, DC. We make human services grants primarily in the metro areas of Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, DC. We make small grants that range from $5,000 to $10,000 and prefer to provide general operating support. Programmatic Priorities for New Applicants The Luther I. Replogle Foundation will accept unsolicited inquiries from organizations addressing the needs of youth and children, and women with children living in, or at risk of, long-term poverty (especially children living in under-resourced communities). Of particular interest are: Programs which provide mental health and wellness services; Programs which provide career/vocational training services; Programs which provide educational services, including enrichment programs in the arts and sciences, after-school tutoring and mentoring, and scholarship programs.

Ineligibility

The Replogle Foundation also makes grants in the following areas at the Board’s discretion; unsolicited inquiries in these areas are not accepted.Projects, lectures, and fellowships in classical archaeology, particularly in efforts to enable scholars to cross disciplines and specialties, and thus broaden their horizons.Projects and institutions working for the conservation of maps and globes, and dissemination and education in the area of geography.Luther I. Replogle Award for Management Improvement at the U.S. Department of State to reward individuals who through their managerial ability have contributed to the effective administration of the Department and its programs.The Foundation does not generally support:Activities that have a specific religious purpose Assistance for individuals Attendance at or travel to conferences or costs related to conferences Business (for-profit) organizations Chemical dependency treatment Endowments, except in very rare cases Health services or policy Services for seniors Travel
