Overview

LUNGevity Career Development Award The Career Development Award supports future research leaders who will keep the field of lung cancer research vibrant with new ideas. Research projects that will be funded in 2026 are expected to have a direct impact on the early detection of lung cancer and/or individualized lung cancer treatment, including through targeted therapy and immunotherapy. This award is open to applicants in the US only. Award Amount Awards may be for a maximum of $300,000 ($100,000 per year for 3 years). LUNGevity Career Development Awards are subject to annual review. The second and third years of support are based on satisfactory progress. LUNGevity will issue the first-year award payment no earlier than November 1, 2026, following receipt of fully executed agreement documents. LUNGevity will issue the second- and third-year payments  following satisfactory review of annual progress and financial reports. Second- and third year payments will be made only after the awardee’s funding balance has decreased to $25,000 or less.
