Summary

The LRAC Career Development Grants offer $2,000 to individual artists in various disciplines within a nine-county region. These grants support projects that enhance artistic growth and career development. Eligible applicants include practicing artists aged 18 and older, who have resided in the region for at least six months. NOTE: LRAC welcomes questions about eligibility, grant programs, and application support for grant applications. First time applicants are especially encouraged to contact the LRAC office prior to starting an application, after first reviewing the guidelines and application instructions. The Career Development Grant is a $2,000 grant for activities and projects resulting in career development and artistic achievement. Individual artists in the LRAC nine-county region may apply in all disciplines, including literary, music, performance, and visual arts disciplines.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Practicing artist, dancer, singer, musician, actor, performer, etc. or any other art form.Have lived in the LRAC nine-county region (Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope,Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin counties) for at least six months.Residency is determined by voting location, payment of Minnesota state income taxes, possession of a valid Minnesota driver’s license or current utility bill. 18 years or older.United States citizen or do you have permanent resident alien status.Grant activities or spending cannot start before the LRAC grant contract is signed and submitted to the LRAC online grant system.Applicants may request AQS grant funding for a large variety of projects from training, to supplies, to time to create. Please refer to this list for more details on the type of projects funded and not funded by the AQS grant program.Your project’s primary focus must be fine arts.Your grant must support a specific project that contributes significantly to your artistic growth (as opposed to unrestricted support).Your project should expand your present work in a specific way or launch you in a new direction.

Ineligibility

Have received a LRAC Artist Quick Start Grant within the last 12 months.Have received a LRAC Career Development Grant within the last 3 years.Have you received a LRAC Fellowship Grant within the last 5 years.Have an outstanding final report due to LRAC that is past the due date.Are an LRAC employee, LRAC independent contract, LRAC Board member or a family member of any of these positions.Family members are defined as spouse, domestic partner, child or spouse of a child.
