Lord Nose Award

Overview: The Lord Nose Award is given annually to a publisher or editor in recognition of a lifetime of work in literary publishing. The award honors and celebrates the memory of Jonathan Williams, founder and publisher of The Jargon Society.

Purpose: Recognizes lifetime achievement in literary publishing, celebrating superlative work and dedication to discovering, nurturing, and bringing important literary work into the world.

Honoree Selection: There is no application process. Honorees are chosen based on their work and accomplishments.

  • Founded by David Wilk, with support from Jeffery Beam, Stanley Finch, and Tom Meyer
