Logan's Hero Dirt Scholarship Fund

Overview: A financial need and merit-based scholarship fund named in honor of a 6th grader at Oak Creek School in Cornville who inspired its creation.

Geographic Scope: Verde Valley and Sedona, Arizona

Award Amount: Up to three $20,000 scholarships awarded annually (beginning 2025)

Eligibility:

Must be a qualified Verde Valley or Sedona resident

Must have participated in one of Wheel Fun's mountain bike programs in elementary, middle, or high school, including:

- After-school clubs
- Camps
- Earn-a-bikes
- Riding4Focus
- Arizona Cycling Association rides

Previous Logan's Hero Dirt Scholarship Fund awardees in good standing are also eligible

Must be attending a postsecondary institution in the upcoming school year (two-year colleges, four-year colleges, trade schools, or vocational schools)

What Funds Can Be Used For:

Tuition

Fees

Books

On-campus or off-campus room and board

Funds can be used at accredited universities, community colleges, or higher education institutions (not limited to Arizona-based institutions)

Application Requirements:

Standard Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) scholarship application requirements

Essay response to: "What did Bike Club mean to you?"

Funding Status: Permanently endowed scholarship being incrementally funded
