  • Must plan on participating in a minimum 8-hour ride along with a trucking company

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be a prospective student making an application to an LCTCS college

  • Must be planning to enroll in a Transportation and Logistics program with emphasis on CDL programs

  • Must plan on participating in a minimum 8-hour ride along with a trucking company
  • Ride Along Definition: Eight hours in one day spent as a passenger (observer) with a motor carrier (a vehicle used to transport passengers or property for compensation)

    Purpose: To address the unprecedented shortage of workers in the trucking industry by providing win-win opportunities for businesses seeking employees and unemployed or underemployed people looking to enter the workforce.
