Funder: Endowment created by Rabbi Leonard A. Helman (1926-2013)
Overview: The Leonard Helman Memorial Youth Scholarship is awarded annually to graduating high school seniors based on financial need and specific criteria. Rabbi Helman was a staunch supporter of youth bridge and created endowment funds internationally in Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, and the United States.

Geographic Scope (in order of priority):
1. Santa Fe, NM
2. If no applicants in Santa Fe: throughout New Mexico
3. If no applicants in New Mexico: throughout District 17 (Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming, Southern Nevada, Eastern Utah, and West Texas)
4. If no applicants in District 17: throughout the United States
