Overview: The LCMC Health Pipeline Program is an education-to-employment pathway offering forgivable financial assistance to students in select healthcare fields who agree to work within the LCMC Health system after earning their degrees.

Program Purpose

Developing the next generation of healthcare professionals committed to delivering extraordinary care with heart and soul. Addressing workforce shortages by supporting local talent and strengthening community partnerships between healthcare organizations and educational institutions.

Key Benefits

• Comprehensive Tuition Support: Funding for tuition and eligible fees throughout academic program, including per-credit tuition and required fees outlined in partner institution's academic catalog
• Forgivable Loan Structure: Up to 100% of tuition payments (including accrued interest) forgiven upon completion of work commitment at an LCMC Health facility. Scholars are responsible for repayment if commitment is not fulfilled
• Employment Match Program: Scholars matched with LCMC Health facility based on organizational need and scholar preference, most often within adult medical-surgical inpatient units. Match Days take place several months before graduation
• Professional Development: Access to exam preparation resources or stipends to support board and certification success
• Competitive Pay and Benefits: Upon hire, compensation and benefits aligned with LCMC Health's standard structure for the role and facility
• Flexibility and Mobility: After one year of full-time employment, scholars may request consideration for transfer to another LCMC Health facility for remainder of commitment
• Support for Success: Resources to achieve licensure/certification and overcome challenges

Eligibility Requirements

• Admission to an accredited healthcare education program
• Commitment to full-time employment at a designated LCMC Health facility after graduation
• Successful completion of licensure or certification requirements
• Compliance with program agreements and eligibility criteria
