Program Type: Early-stage business acceleration and pitch competition

Award Amount:

• First prize: $30,000 cash
• Vermont EPSCoR Innovation Prize: $15,000
• Additional in-kind services valued at approximately $90,000 distributed among all cohort members
• Total awarded: $135,000 in cash and services

Program Overview:
LaunchVT provides early-stage acceleration programs and resources for businesses to prep, launch, and soar in Vermont. The annual pitch competition comes at the end of a six-week intensive program where entrepreneurs work with dedicated coaches, strategic advisors, and peers to refine their business models and hone their pitches.

Eligibility:

• Early-stage startups and new businesses
• Vermont-based companies
• Businesses accepted into the LaunchVT cohort program

Application Process

Applications are submitted through the LaunchVT program as part of a cohort-based acceleration program.

• Entrepreneurs apply to participate in the six-week intensive LaunchVT cohort program
• Selected cohort members work with coaches and advisors throughout the program
• At the end of the six-week program, entrepreneurs participate in the Final Pitch Competition
• Winners are selected by judges based on their pitches and business models

• Completion of six-week program curriculum
