Lane Meyer Scholarship Fund Grant

The Lane Meyer Scholarship Fund, managed by the North Carolina Community Foundation, honors students from Wake Forest and Rolesville High Schools who exemplify excellence in academics, athletics, and community service. Applicants must be members of the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Soccer Team and demonstrate leadership and spirit in both school and community activities. This scholarship aims to support those who embody Lane Meyer’s legacy and contribute positively to their peers and communities.

North Carolina Community Foundation
The North Carolina Community Foundation is a statewide philanthropic organization dedicated to inspiring North Carolinians to make lasting and meaningful contributions to their communities by transforming individual generosity into permanent support for local needs. Founded in 1988 with a particular focus on rural areas, the Foundation stewards charitable endowments that grow over time and distribute funds through grants to nonprofit organizations and scholarships for students across North Carolina.
Its mission centers on harnessing philanthropy to strengthen communities throughout the state, while its vision emphasizes supporting vibrant, resilient communities where resources are available to meet evolving needs. The Foundation’s funding priorities include community grantmaking through a network of affiliate foundations and giving circles that support human services, education, youth development, health, food and nutrition, and the arts; disaster relief and resilience funding for communities affected by emergencies; and administering hundreds of scholarship opportunities that help students pursue higher education regardless of background or county of residence. By partnering with donors, fundholders, and community stakeholders, NCCF works to address local challenges, build philanthropic legacies, and ensure long-term impact across North Carolina’s diverse regions.
This scholarship honors students who exemplify Lane Meyer’s legacy of excellence in academics, athletics, friendships, and community service. Eligible applicants must be members of the Wake Forest–Rolesville High School Soccer Team and attend Wake Forest High School and/or Rolesville High School. Special emphasis is placed on academic achievement, soccer skill and sportsmanship, as well as meaningful involvement in school and community activities. Recipients should demonstrate leadership and the ability to build spirit and positive influence in the classroom, on the athletic field, and within the broader school community.

Eligibility

Eligible students must exemplify Lane Meyer’s legacy of excellence and achievement in academics, athletics, friendships and community service. Students will be selected from Wake Forest High School and/or Rolesville High School and must be members of the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Soccer Team. Eligible students will be those who build spirit in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the school community.
