North Carolina Community Foundation The North Carolina Community Foundation is a statewide philanthropic organization dedicated to inspiring North Carolinians to make lasting and meaningful contributions to their communities by transforming individual generosity into permanent support for local needs. Founded in 1988 with a particular focus on rural areas, the Foundation stewards charitable endowments that grow over time and distribute funds through grants to nonprofit organizations and scholarships for students across North Carolina. Lane Meyer Scholarship Fund This scholarship honors students who exemplify Lane Meyer’s legacy of excellence in academics, athletics, friendships, and community service. Eligible applicants must be members of the Wake Forest–Rolesville High School Soccer Team and attend Wake Forest High School and/or Rolesville High School. Special emphasis is placed on academic achievement, soccer skill and sportsmanship, as well as meaningful involvement in school and community activities. Recipients should demonstrate leadership and the ability to build spirit and positive influence in the classroom, on the athletic field, and within the broader school community.
