Overview

What is Lamar Gives 365? Lamar Gives 365, a program of the Barnesville-Lamar Community Foundation, is designed to bring people together to improve the community. Each member gives $365 per year — one dollar a day — to make the community a better place. The contributions from the members are pooled together. Half of the money is available for grants in the year it is given and the other half is placed in an endowment for the future. The members will listen to the finalists’ two-minute presentations at a grant finalist event to be held in February. Then, members will vote to recommend the grant recipients. Grant Amount While there is not a maximum grant amount per organization, there is a total amount available for grants each year. The total amount available for grants for the 2018 deadline is approximately $32,000. There have been 10-13 finalists for each of the first four years of the Lamar Gives 365 Grant Program.

Eligibility
