Overview

The LAF Honor Scholarship in Memory of Joe Lalli honors the legacy of Joseph J. Lalli, a renowned landscape architect, by providing financial support to landscape architecture students pursuing a Master’s degree in accredited programs in the U.S. or Canada. Candidates are evaluated on their design skills, leadership, integrity, and commitment to the profession, with financial need also considered. This scholarship aims to foster the next generation of leaders in landscape architecture.

This LAF Honor Scholarship was established in memory of Joseph J. Lalli, FASLA (1943-2014) and his 46-year career as a landscape architect, artist, philanthropist, mentor, and teacher. He was a persuasive leader, well-known and admired for his modesty and generosity. Joe experienced great value in his Master’s degree and wanted to help make the opportunity for graduate education accessible to others.
