Background Founded in 1979 by King Charles III and inspired by His Majesty’s values of harmony and sustainability, we are committed to helping people and communities to change the world around them, creating lasting improvements to people’s lives and a sustainable future for all. We are committed to helping people and communities to change the world around them, creating lasting improvements to people’s lives and a sustainable future for all. Small Grants We award small grants of up to £3,000 per year, for up to three years, to approximately 100 UK registered nonprofit organisations each year. We will open for applications on 28th January – 11th February for Social Inclusion and Health & Wellbeing projects. Small grants programme: plans for 2025-26 The programme will reopen this year and continue to support smaller non-profit organisations. The dates will be published on our website and social media platforms at least two weeks prior to the application window opening. In the last 10 years, we have supported more than 900 organisations through the small grants programme. The number of applications we receive has increased significantly over the past few years. On average we received almost 1,500 small grant applications and fund approximately 100 of these each year. In light of the increased demand, we will be reviewing how our small grants can best support organisations and help unlock additional funding to enable small charities to provide vital support to communities. This means that there are likely to be some changes to our eligibility criteria and application process in 25/26. We will be consulting both former and current grantees to inform our future plans. We know that it is an incredibly challenging time for many non-profit organisations facing rising demand for services. We remain committed to supporting the sector as best we can. Please do check our website and social media regularly for any further updates.Eligibility
