The Kevin J. Hannaford Sr. Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization that assists children who suffer the loss of a parent in pursuing educational opportunities. It is our hope that through these gifts they will develop into healthy, giving adults. Mission The Foundation is named for Kevin J. Hannaford, Sr., who tragically died along with thousands of others on September 11, 2001, during the brutal terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York. We are keeping Kevin’s memory alive and helping our community by contributing to the educational needs of bereaved children. It is our mission to assist these wonderful children in their educational endeavors financially. We hope you will join us as we remember Kevin and Empower Children! Even though Kevin is no longer with us, his spirit will forever be alive. Scholarship Program The Kevin J. Hannaford, Sr. Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce its Scholarship Program. The Foundation was established in 2004, in memory of Kevin J. Hannaford, Sr. who died on September 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center disaster. His wife, Eileen, and two sons, Patrick and Kevin, Jr., survive Kevin. Eileen, Patrick, and Kevin hope that the Foundation's great works will provide a positive example that good can come from a tragic loss. Even though Kevin is no longer with us, his spirit will forever be alive in his family's hearts, in the hearts of all those who knew him, and through the gifts of Kevin J. Hannaford, Sr. Foundation, Inc.

Eligibility

Scholarship awards made for the current academic year will be given to children residing in Bernards Township, NJ, or Bernardsville, NJ, who have suffered a parent's loss to death.The awards will provide financial assistance for educational programs.We anticipate applications for private school and college undergraduate education programs; we will consider requests for all academic and enrichment programming levels.Applicants must be age 24 or younger as of June 1 of the current year.We hope the applicants will have similar traits to Kevin J. Hannaford, Sr. including honesty, enthusiasm for learning, respect, responsibility, and care for their community.
