Keep Playing the Game Scholarship Grant

The Keep Playing the Game Scholarship, funded by The Dayton Foundation, supports University of Dayton Sport Management alumni pursuing further education or professional development. This initiative encourages alumni to break out of their comfort zones and seek advancement opportunities. Awards can be used for graduate school, training, or approved career-related expenses. The scholarship embodies the spirit of continuous personal growth and aims to empower alumni to achieve their goals and contribute positively to their fields.

Having awarded over $1.2 billion in grants and managing more than 4,100 funds, the Foundation acts as a significant regional philanthropic partner committed to strengthening the social, economic, and cultural fabric of the community.

Sport Management alumni that have worked closely with Doc T understand his approach is rather unique. He is dedicated to his profession and students, blunt in communication and clear in his goal to encourage students to break out of their comfort zones through professional networking, challenging preconceptions and pushing the status quo in pursuit of a successful next step after UD. In the spirit of continued personal development, and with the goal to never stop playing the game, this fund continues Doc T’s relentless pursuit of taking it to the next level. Awards can be used toward graduate school, professional development, online training and other approved career-related expenses. Eligibility

Be alumni who graduated with a Sport Management major from the University of Dayton;Plan to pursue or currently pursuing post-graduate education, training, professional and/or career development, andPlan to take additional courses (online or in-person) to earn a second degree or certificate in any field.
