KCCU Teacher Grant Program

Overview:
The KCCU Teacher Grant Program provides grants to professional educators teaching Pre-K through 12th grade to help them purchase supplies and equipment for classroom instruction. This program is now in its fifth year, supporting innovative teaching and student engagement.

Award Information:

  • Award Amount: $400 per grant

  • Number of Awards: 15 teachers awarded in 2025-26 school year

  • Eligible Use of Funds:

  • - Equipment
    - Educational software
    - Books
    - Special materials
    - Other tools to support education of future leaders
  • Asset Ownership: If recipient leaves the school, any capital or goods purchased remain at the school property
  • Geographic Scope: Michigan

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a professionally certified educator

  • Teaching Pre-K through 12th grade

  • Must plan to continue teaching in the 2026-2027 school year

  • Teachers must apply/nominate themselves (self-nomination only)

  • Do NOT need to be a KCCU member to apply

  • NOT eligible: KCCU employees, immediate family members of KCCU employees, KCCU directors, or KCCU officers
  • Application Restrictions:

  • One application per teacher, per school year

  • Only individual teachers can apply (not students, parents, community members, or administrators)
  • Selection Criteria:
    Awards based on demonstrated need and innovation in classroom instruction

    Post-Award Obligations:

  • Recipients agree that their name may be used for promotional purposes to enhance awareness of KCCU's Teacher Grant Program
  • Next Application Period:
    Summer 2026 (specific application window will be announced on KCCU social media)
