Overview

KC Water Services Fund

Geographic Scope: Kansas City, Missouri area

Purpose: Emergency water utility assistance for low-income households

Eligibility:

Income below 180% federal poverty income guidelines

Must be the account holder (water bill in applicant's name) or authorized user

Account must be active (not disconnected or charged off)

Can use fund up to 2 times per rolling calendar year

Maximum $500 per rolling calendar year

Who Is NOT Eligible:

Customers over 185% income limit threshold

Customers who have already reached maximum fund usage per year

Non-account holders

Customers with disconnected or charged off accounts

Old or inactive accounts

How It Works:
Customers below 180% federal poverty income guidelines can apply for assistance. Funds are processed through local social service agencies or utility assistance events.
