Katie Harper Youth Hope Grants

To meet the emergency needs of individual children who have been injured or experienced catastrophic illness and whose families cannot afford to pay all of the related expenses. Grants may be used for medical expenses, specialized equipment, therapy/rehab costs, transportation to treatment, or adaptive capital improvements, or other similar expenses. Grants will be paid through a nonprofit organization working with the family. Grants are limited to one per family.

Eligibility

* Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations within the eight-county region around Rochester, NY (Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties).

Ineligibility

* The Community Foundation’s competitive grants program generally does not fund special events, fundraising campaigns, religious activities, endowments, buildings (except for historical assets), or debt retirement.
