Program Type: One-year, potentially renewable, project-based fellowships

• Graduating law students
• Law school graduates up to two years out of law school

• Innovative public interest work

Host Organization Types:

• Nonprofit organizations
• Unions
• Government agencies
• Plaintiff-side law firms
• Public interest law firms

Additional Notes:

• Justice Catalyst does not accept letters of recommendation at the application stage
• Applicants must notify Justice Catalyst immediately if they accept another fellowship or position elsewhere

Application Process

1. Timeline: Application form is generally open in the Fall of each year
2. When to Apply: Check back in Summer 2026 for the 2026-2027 cycle opening
3. Where to Apply: Complete application form on the Justice Catalyst Fellowship Application page
4. Required Materials: Application form with responses to cycle questions (view 2026-2027 questions on application page)
5. Letters of Recommendation: NOT accepted at the application stage
6. Post-Application: If you accept another fellowship or position elsewhere during the process, notify fellowships@justicecatalyst.org immediately
