Background: Established in memory of Jordana Ybarra-Telias, who passed away in May 2022. Jordana was the President of the Ventura College Classified Senate and the Coordinator of the Ventura College Veteran Resource Center. The gift and other donor funds established a $20,000 fund for emergency grants.

Eligibility:

• Veteran students at Ventura College
• Dependents of veterans
• After serving veterans/dependents, remaining funds available to other students in need

  • Prescriptions
  • Utility bills
  • Other emergency expenses

Award Distribution: Mini-grants distributed through the Ventura College Basic Needs Center until fund is exhausted
