Encouraging Education Through Scholarships The John Jamison Iron Mountain Education Fund exists to encourage and recognize scholastic achievement. The fund was founded in 2004 by Iron Mountain shareholders, directors and managers as a way to help the children of Iron Mountain employees pursue their goals in higher education. Awards Scholarship awards of $2,000 (USD) will be awarded to selected applicants. The academic disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are encouraged and scholarship awards of $4,000 (USD) will be awarded to recipients who declare a major in the following areas of study: Biological sciences (excluding medicine and other clinical fields).Physical sciences (including physics, chemistry, astronomy, and materials science).Mathematical sciences.Computer and information sciences.Geosciences.Engineering.Technology areas associated with the preceding disciplines (for example, biotechnology, chemical technology, engineering technology, information technology, etc.). The number of scholarships will vary based on the funds available per year.

Eligibility

Applicants to The John Jamison Iron Mountain Education Fund must be:Dependent children, up to age 24, of full-time employees at the Director level (Job Grade 13) and below who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date. Dependent children are defined as natural or legally adopted children or dependent stepchildren primarily supported by the employee (the employee provides more than 1/2 of the child’s total support during the calendar year.)Children of deceased employees are also eligible if the full-time employee was classified as Director level (Job Grade 13) or below at the time of death.High school/secondary school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll, or students who are already enrolled, in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
