John and Christina Hoepner Educational Scholarship

The John and Christina Hoepner Educational Scholarship program was first started in 1983 with the Hospital Association and transferred to the Daniels Memorial Healthcare Foundation in 1986. The program awards yearly scholarships to support education in healthcare fields.

Geographic Scope: Local/regional - Scobey, Montana area

Focus Areas:

• Healthcare education (all areas of healthcare)
• Nursing and related healthcare fields

Eligibility:

• DMHC employees (current or former)
• Local students
• Pursuing a degree, seeking a higher degree, or starting education in any area of healthcare

Award Information:

• Up to $2,000 per applicant
• Number of scholarships and amounts awarded annually at discretion of Foundation board
• One-year grants for furthering education and degrees
• Historical awards: 66 scholarships given from 1983-2014 (totaling over $129,000); additional $8,000 awarded in past two years
