Overview:
Since its inception in 2007, IANA has awarded over $6 million to support students in university programs focused on freight and intermodal transportation. In 2025, IANA awarded over $650,000, the highest yearly award to date. The program was renamed in 2024 in honor of Joanne F. Casey (Joni Casey), IANA's retiring chief executive and champion of the program.

  • IANA member companies must have been in good standing for at least 2 years

  • Employees must receive at least 50% of tuition from their employer

  • Over 110 employees from IANA member companies have received scholarships
