Jibe Transportation Improvement Grant Program

Overview: Grants to fund sustainable transportation options and reduce solo car trips in North Natomas. Funds are awarded as reimbursement upon project completion.

Geographic Scope: North Natomas, Sacramento, CA only

Funding Focus Areas:

  • Employee bike share programs

  • Transit subsidy programs

  • Bike racks

  • Incentives for pedestrians and cyclists

  • Walkways and crosswalks

  • Art projects designed to foster active transportation

  • EV charging stations

  • Other projects that foster transportation behaviors enhancing the community through advocacy, programs, placemaking, education, or services
    • Eligibility

    • Business owners, commercial property owners, or property managers in North Natomas
    • Must own, operate, or manage a business in North Natomas that employs people in the Sacramento region
    • Must be able to approve and enact the project on behalf of the employer or organization
    • Responsible for 10% grant match requirement
    • Multi-level marketing and home-based businesses are excluded

      Funding Details

    • Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per project annually
    • Match Requirement: 10% grant match required
    • Reimbursement: Funds are awarded as reimbursement upon project completion (not retroactive)
    • Frequency: Only $10,000 per project per year
    • One Application Per Project: Applicants may only submit one application per project

      What Will NOT Be Funded

    • Retroactive funding (projects already completed)
    • Projects that are a condition for building approval or a TMP (Transportation Management Plan) requirement
    • Projects from multi-level marketing or home-based businesses

      Requirements

    • All proposed infrastructure projects must be approved by property managers/owners
    • All grant recipients must complete Jibe's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide information about the proposed project
    • Applicants must demonstrate ability to pay 10% match
    • Not all applications will be funded

  • Project Milestones: Describe your plan for project implementation by listing key milestones and target dates (Action/Target Date pairs)
  • Budget Information:

  • Detailed project budget

  • Funding sources (checkboxes with options)

  • Grant request amount

  • Other funding sources (list source and amount)

  • Match amount (10% of Jibe grant)
  • Verification:

  • Answer security questions: "What color is the sky? (4 letters)" and "What letter comes after 'B' in the alphabet?"
