JGather Organizational Engagement Grants

Focus Area: Jewish Engagement

Geographic Scope: Greater Atlanta, Georgia

Program Description: Grants to support Jewish 501(c)(3) organizations in the greater Atlanta area that create gatherings designed to build meaningful Jewish connections, reach new people, deepen engagement, and strengthen community through creative, welcoming, and impactful programs.

Eligibility:

  • Any Jewish 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the Greater Atlanta area

  • Includes synagogues, schools, agencies, and grassroots groups with nonprofit status

  • Note: Individuals or families looking to host gatherings should apply for Individual Gather Grants instead
  • Priority Considerations:

  • Organizations with limited financial and staff capacity

  • Programs created in collaboration with one or more Jewish partners

  • Gatherings that are accessible, innovative, and welcoming

  • Lower-resourced organizations with limited staff or financial capacity
  • Types of Programs Funded:

  • Holiday gatherings

  • Intergenerational learning

  • Creative Jewish social programs

  • Cross-organizational partnerships

  • Programs that are relational (focused on building connections)

  • Programs that are Jewishly meaningful (ritual, learning, culture, holidays, identity, values)

  • Programs that are inclusive and welcoming of diverse backgrounds
  • What They Don't Fund:

  • Political events

  • Capital campaigns

  • Fundraising events
  • Requirements:

  • Must collect registration sign-ups for all gatherings

  • Short report must be submitted after program including: number of participants, demographics, and stories of connection

  • Organizations may apply once per grant cycle

  • Multiple gatherings may be bundled into one proposal if part of same program

  • Programs should minimize cost barriers to participation (modest fees allowed if they support program sustainability)
