Jennie-O Scholarships: Higher Education Scholarship Grant

The Jennie-O Scholarships: Higher Education Scholarship offers a one-time payment of $1,000 to high school seniors who are children of Jennie-O team members or team members themselves. With up to 50 scholarships available, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including maintaining at least 10 credits per semester. This initiative aims to support the education of young individuals who will impact their communities positively in the future.

Jennie-O is offering more than $60,000 in continuing education scholarships to graduating high school seniors who meet the specific eligibility criteria. The two different types of scholarships being offered are: Golden Excellence Scholarship and Higher Education Scholarship.
$1,000 one-time payment; not renewable. Up to 50 scholarships are available.

Eligibility

Must be a graduating high school senior
Must be the child of a full- or part-time Jennie-O team member who works within the Supply Chain Operations Division of Jennie-O OR be a team member yourself (this is defined as any team member who reports up to Jennie-O’s vice president of Supply Chain Operations in the company’s organizational chart).ONLY: natural born child, legally adopted child, stepchild or child has the team member as a legal guardian.
Up to 3 of the 50 available scholarships are earmarked for children of Jennie-O contract/independent growers.
Can attend any U.S. based higher education institution and major in any field
Must carry at least 10 credits per semester.
Recipient selection is based on an overall evaluation of academics and the written essay.To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant must meet both of the following criteria:Live with the team member who is providing the applicant with the majority of their financial support. If the applicant does not live with the team member, the team member will need to provide documentation that they do provide the majority of the applicant’s financial support; AND Applicant must be related to the team member in one of the following ways: natural born child, legally adopted child, stepchild, or the team member is the legal guardian of the applicant. In cases of legal adoption, legal guardianship, and stepchild relationships, legal documentation will be required to verify eligibility.
