Overview: A scholarship fund established in memory of Jeff Godbehere, an inspirational individual who overcame significant health challenges. Jeff was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at age 14, underwent chemotherapy and radiation that resulted in loss of use of one leg, but continued to pursue his passion for landscape design and architecture. He earned a bachelor's degree from ASU's landscape design school and worked as a landscape designer before his cancer returned. He passed away at age 31. The scholarship was first awarded in the most recent year with 2 scholarships given.

Background: Jeff Godbehere was a cancer survivor who battled the disease for 17 years of his life. Despite his physical challenges, he was athletic, talented, and had a positive impact on everyone who knew him. He married Cassi (sister of the scholarship founders) and was expecting his first child when his cancer returned. His son, Jeffrey Jr., was born a few months after Jeff's death. The family established this scholarship to continue Jeff's legacy and support deserving students in design.
