Overview

Jane Henry Scholarship

Purpose: Awarded to an outstanding Pacific Northwest Division female ski racer for college education in memory of Jane Henry.

Background: Jane Henry was an 18-year-old competitive alpine Mission Ridge racer who died on March 22, 1979 in a pre-race training run. A true lover of skiing and the outdoors.

Geographic Scope: Pacific Northwest Division

Eligibility:

  • Female ski racers competing in Alpine or Nordic disciplines

  • Planning to attend college

  • Members of Pacific Northwest Division clubs
  • Award Announcement: Late June

    Application Requirements

    1. Personal letter describing yourself and future goals
    2. Letter of recommendation from your PNW club coach
    3. Letter of recommendation from your Program Director
    4. Current school transcript
    5. One additional personal letter of recommendation
    6. Photos (two required):
    - Headshot including head and shoulders (not a selfie)
    - Outdoor skiing photo
    - Note: Photos will be used for promotional purposes
