Program Overview:
Annual scholarship awards for outstanding high school seniors who are children of Teamster members. Recipients are selected by an impartial committee of university admissions and financial aid directors based on academic achievement, SAT/ACT scores, character, potential, and financial need.
- Be the son, daughter, or financial dependent (not spouses) of a Teamster member (including BLET, BMWED, and GCC members) who qualifies as a member in "good standing"
- Be in the last year of high school
- Not have already graduated from high school
- Be in the top 15% of high school class
- Plan to submit excellent SAT or ACT scores (U.S. only)
- Plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or Canada as a full-time student
Eligibility Requirements - Applicants Must:
- Cannot apply if planning to attend non-academic or certificate programs
- Cannot apply if planning to attend community college
- No consideration given to race, religion, gender, disability, or other legally protected status

Application Process
1. Download the Academic Scholarship application
2. Complete application form with all required information
3. Obtain membership verification from your local union, system federation, or BLET national division
4. Compile SAT/ACT scores for submission
5. Submit to your local union or directly to the Scholarship Office if local cannot verify in time
6. Application deadline: Friday, March 31, 2017 at 5 p.m. EST (no exceptions)
