J. Michael Coleman Scholarship

Overview: Created by BOMA International Foundation in honor of Mike Coleman, a long-time BOMA leader and advocate for professional excellence. This scholarship supports young and emerging professionals to attend the BOMA International Annual Conference and Expo.

Award Value: Complimentary registration to BOMA International's annual conference plus $500 toward other costs (airfare, hotel, etc.) = $1,200 total value per scholarship

About Mike Coleman:

  • Retired after 30+ years from AlliedBarton (now Allied Universal) as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate

  • BOMA Fellow (highest honor awarded by BOMA International)

  • Served on BOMA Foundation Board and BOMA Executive Committee

  • Known for promoting highest level of customer service and supporting BOMA through sponsorships and leadership

  • Deceased December 3, 2020
  • Annual Awards: Goal is to award at least two scholarships per year, beginning with June 2017 annual conference. Number of awards depends on fund size.
