About the ISTAT Foundation The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading Foundation (ISTAT Foundation) was founded in 1994 to support individuals and institutions that promote the advancement of commercial aviation and humanitarianism. Funding for programs is provided by annual grants from ISTAT and contributions from individuals and companies. The ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees, a separate entity from the ISTAT Board of Directors, manages fundraising and programming that meets the Foundation's objectives. ISTAT Foundation Humanitarian Aid Program The ISTAT Foundation Humanitarian Aid Program showcases how the aviation community can join together to aid those in need. The program is administered by the Humanitarian Committee of the ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees. The Foundation supports humanitarian causes that are designed to help save lives, promote human welfare and alleviate suffering. Our focus is on restoring the basic necessities and improving the well-being of those in need as a result of global disasters and/or afflictions. In addition, the ISTAT Foundation collaborates with and supports nongovernmental, not-for-profit organizations that provide air transportation for patients that have critical needs for medical treatment and cargo that is necessary to support humanitarian causes.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Organizations can only submit one application per year. Prior year recipients are able to apply in subsequent years.Umbrella organizations can only apply for a humanitarian aid grant if the proposed program or project is implemented by the umbrella organization itself.Organizations registered as a charitable, nongovernmental entity focusing on aviation-related humanitarian prevention, relief and/or recovery efforts for:Natural disasters (drought, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc.);Human-generated disasters (conflict, social, industrial/transport accidents, etc.); orHealth-related crises.

Ineligibility

We do not fund capital infrastructure, for-profit projects, religious or political activities.
