The Jewish Alliance Israel Desk supports opportunities for travel to Israel. The organization matches people to programs, provides grants and scholarships, offers general travel resources, and more. They are committed to supporting study/travel opportunities for Jews in recognized study/travel programs.- Of high school, college, or post-secondary age (through age 26)
- A resident of greater Rhode Island
- Planning to study/travel in a recognized study/travel program
- A donor in good standing to the Community Campaign of the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island - Note: No pledge is too small to apply - A donor in good standing means immediate family has made a pledge to the current year's Alliance Community Campaign and is current with past pledges and other Alliance financial commitments
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be:Previous Recipients: Applicants who have previously received two years of funding may be considered, however only pending the availability of funds.
- Recommendation required from one of the following: - Rabbi/education professional - Jewish youth group advisor - Public/private school teacher - Family friend/mentor/personal contact
- Recipients commit to: - Writing a brief article sharing their Israel experience for Jewish Rhode Island - Speaking/presenting to a youth group, at a community gathering, and/or serving as a representative of the study/travel program
- Program obligations: In the event that the study/travel program is cancelled or the recipient no longer wishes to participate upon receiving an Alliance award, recipients will return all Alliance-issued awards
- Attach a brief program description upon application submission
