Israel Study/Travel Grants and Scholarships

    Eligibility

  • Age: High school through post-secondary (through age 26)
  • Residency: Must be a resident of greater Rhode Island
  • Program: Must be planning to study/travel in a recognized study/travel program
  • Donor Status: Must be a donor in good standing to the Community Campaign of the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island
  • - Note: No pledge is too small to apply - A donor in good standing is one whose immediate family has made a pledge to this year's Alliance Community Campaign and is current with past pledges and other Alliance financial commitments
  • Prior Funding: Applicants who have previously received two years of funding may be considered, however only pending the availability of funds

    Requirements

  • Recommendation: A recommendation is required from one of the following:
  • - Rabbi/education director - Jewish youth group advisor - Public/private school teacher - Family friend/mentor/personal contact
  • Commitment: Recipients commit to:
  • - Writing a brief article sharing their Israel experience for Jewish Rhode Island - Speaking/presenting to a youth group, at a community gathering, and/or serving as a representative of the study/travel program
  • Program Description: Attach a brief program description upon application submission
  • Refund Obligation: In the event that the study/travel program is cancelled or the recipient no longer wishes to participate upon receiving an Alliance award, recipients will return all Alliance-issued awards

High school and gap-year applicants must complete the following:

3. Recommendation Form (supply to your recommendation contact)

Financial Aid Options:

  • Without Full Disclosure: If applicants would like to be considered for financial aid without full disclosure, submit only the Israel Study/Travel Grants and Scholarships Application

  • Needs-Based Scholarship: If applicants would like to apply for a needs-based scholarship with full disclosure, submit both the Israel Study/Travel Grants and Scholarships Application and Scholarship Supplement
  • #### For College and Post-Secondary Applicants Only
    College and post-secondary applicants must complete the following:

    2. Personal Statement
    3. Recommendation Form (supply to your recommendation contact)

      Submission
